Quality Engineer/QE2503 for Australian site in Port Kembla, NSW

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Quality Engineer to join our growing team at Port Kembla. This permanent full-time role offers a chance to help shape quality systems in a thriving electronics manufacturing environment.

Eltwin Hyper, a part of the Eltwin Group, has been at the forefront of designing and manufacturing innovative motor controllers for over 20 years. We cater to a wide range of industries, including HVAC, backup generators, marine, military, and recreational applications. Based in the Illawarra region of NSW, our international market reach extends across Australia, the USA, and Europe.

This role will report to the Engineering Manager.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with full working rights
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics and basic motor operation (single and three-phase)
  • Passion for quality systems and process improvement
  • Solid grasp of analog and digital electronics
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment

Key Responsibilities

As part of this role, your main duties will include (not limited to):

  • Develop and maintain quality systems to support consistent manufacturing
  • Implement and audit ISO9001 standards and documentation
  • Assist in designing measurement and monitoring equipment for production
  • Support WHS compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Standardize workflows and promote a quality-first mindset across teams
  • Act on customer feedback to improve product and process quality
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits
  • Provide technical support to the sales team
  • Maintain global compliance documentation

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Candidates with the following additional skills and experience will have an advantage:

  • Experience with ISO, WHS, QA/QC processes in a manufacturing setting.
  • ISO9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification or similar training (highly regarded)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and ERP system experience
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Confident communicator at all levels of the organization.
