A Journey of Passion, Growth, and Camaraderie - Jørn Trans Celebrates 40 Years at Eltwin

In 1985, Jørn Trans walked through the doors of Eltwin as an apprentice – and he has been part of the company ever since. Today, 40 years later, he celebrates an impressive anniversary that reflects both professional dedication and a strong sense of community.

Jørn’s journey began as an apprentice, and after 3.5 years, he was hired as a qualified technician. Back then, Eltwin was a small company with just 7–8 employees in the office. “My job was basically to test things and fix what was defective,” Jørn recalls. Over the years, he has held many roles – from testing to handling complaints and being responsible for apprentices. Eltwin has proudly hosted apprentices for many years, and the impact is lasting around 30 apprentices in total, with many still working here today. Jørn himself has played a key role in mentoring and guiding them, helping shape the next generation of talent.

The Recipe for 40 Years

When asked what has made it possible to stay at Eltwin for four decades, Jørn points to the community: “It’s like an extended family… that great camaraderie, the feeling of sitting together with your colleagues and it’s completely effortless. You can relax and let your guard down.”

One of the most defining moments in Jørn’s career was Eltwin’s acquisition by Nibe. “It was just the best thing that ever happened… I think we survived because of it,” he says, adding that it sparked a new phase of development with more products and a larger organization.

A Journey of Growth

Jørn has witnessed Eltwin grow from a small company to an organization with several hundred employees. He has seen technology evolve – and he has evolved with it. “New products keep coming… it’s not like you sit and do the same thing all the time.” he says laughing.
