Gaining new perspectives with our interns
For students, internships are about bridging the gap between theory and practice with hands-on, real-life work experience. For companies, internships are an opportunity to gain insights about the workforce — from getting different perspectives on existing processes to introducing newly defined skillsets to the organization.
Most importantly, though, internships are an opportunity to support a student’s ambitions — and nurture their journey into the professional workforce.
Ekaterina Zubkova studies Value Chain Management at VIA University College in Aarhus and, as part of her studies, joined our Logistics department as an intern.
“Eltwin is a company with a lot of development. In logistics, that’s interesting because I’m focused on optimizing processes and flow — so there is always a positive challenge to help the logistics department solve,” says Ekaterina.
Ekaterina’s internship is helping to lift her studies to a new level with real-world experience.
“Ekaterina has been a great addition to our team — we’ve all been inspired by her new perspective on our everyday tasks, and she’s not afraid to challenge the status quo. We are very much learning from each other,” says Jannie Kalmar, Production Planner.

On the other end of the business is Nicklas Lilholt, a Marketing & CSR intern at Eltwin. Nicklas is working on his master’s degree in International Studies at the University of Aarhus and, with his internship, is exploring how the real world operates compared with textbooks.
“The complexity and scope of tasks are what has surprised me the most,” says Nicklas. “By focusing on CSR and marketing at Eltwin, I’m getting a much clearer picture of strategic models and how nuanced the subjects are.”
“We want to build on work experience by adding a dynamic element
of professional relationships
While it’s important to give a transparent insight into the reality of day-to-day business, we’re also focused on exposing interns to networking and relationship-building. “I bring Nicklas to as many meetings as possible — whether they’re internal or external. We want to build on his work experience by adding a dynamic element of professional relationships and communication,” says Joan Møller Rusbjerg, CSR & Marketing Manager at Eltwin.
While Ekaterina and Nicklas prepare for the next step in their professional journey, we look forward to welcoming — and learning from — more interns.
